Inside Job Wiki

Tamiko Ridley is the ex-wife of Rand Ridley, mother of Reagan Ridley, author and a narcissist. She is married to herself as of "My Big Flat Earth Wedding".

Personality[]

Tamiko is very narcissistic, which is shown when she marries herself. She also describes Rand as a narcissist, underlining her hypocrisy. She dates around to deal with the divorce with Rand but will freak out if a man, such as Keanu, is older.

She greatly values her own inner happiness, positive energy, et cetera. In Blue Bloods, she states she divorced Rand because he didn't "spark joy". She appears to be a proponent of spiritual practices, shown by the crystals and the statue of Buddha placed throughout her home.

When faced with conflict, she prefers to ignore it, filling her own internal world with "light and love".

Despite her similarly bad parenting and emotional neglect towards Reagan, Tamiko has been shown to be at least more outwardly caring and considerate towards her daughter in comparison to her ex-husband. It's worth noting in "My Big Flat Earth Wedding", when Reagan is taken hostage by Harold, she is the first to come to her aid.

She is also shown to be a bit of a sociopath in Rontagion when she tells Rand (really Alpha Beta) to blow up the Eiffel Tower for her.

Occupation[]

After her divorce, she published a novel called Knight of Passion: A Lady Talmathia, which appears to be semi-autobiographical fiction. On the cover, it's described as "a sex venture by Tamiko Ridley". In the summary of her novel, she refers to her ex-husband (implied Rand) as a narcissist, and states that her daughter (implied Reagan) has autism spectrum disorder (referred to as Asperger's syndrome).

Trivia[]

  • According to series creator Shion Takeuchi, Tamiko is characterized to serve kind of as two "dark futures" for Reagan along with Rand (too much work and egomania) and in Tamiko's case too much self-involvement and self-care.
