J.R. Scheimpough is a major antagonist in Inside Job. He is the former CEO of Cognito Inc., as well as the former business partner and archenemy, Rand Ridley. He is currently incarcerated in Shadow Prison X with Rand, being deemed a traitor by the Shadow Board for attempting to use "Project Reboot" to his advantage.

Past[]
J.R. attended Harvard university in the 70's where he met Rand. While initially annoyed that Rand was better (but lazier) than him at everything, he and J.R. became friends. Opening Cognito Inc. together. They stayed friends throughout the years with J.R. seeing Rand get married and having Reagan. However, by the start of the series they have fallen out.
During his time as the company's CEO, he met high-ranking members of other secret organizations, including members of the Illuminati.
Season 1[]
Part 1[]
He led Cognito, Inc. for 40 years before he made the mistake of lying to the Shadow Board in order to purchase a volcanic lair. For his actions, the Shadow Board had him incarcerated in the infamous Shadow Prison X.
Part 2[]
J.R. was chosen as a manhunt prisoner from one of the events for an annual gathering of the six secret groups (The Reptoids, the Atlanteans, the Catholic Church, the Juggalos, Cognito Inc., and the Illuminati) but he manages to escape thanks to the chaos caused by Reagan. J.R. tried going back to his mansion only to find it torn down and that the Shadow Board had erased him from history.
Rand became increasingly paranoid trying to find the one that had been defecating on his desk. He eventually found a hole in the wall leading to the hiding place of J.R. Scheimpough who had escaped from Shadow Prison X. After J.R. reveled the robotic surveillance bugs spying for the Shadow Board Rand allowed J.R. return to Cognito as an intern much to J.R. 's dismay.
Personality[]
J.R. is a very greedy individual, which is something he proved on numerous occasions. He had no qualms about leaving people to die or even lying to his superiors if he had something to gain from it.
Trivia[]
- J.R. is actually bald. Because of this, he has installed hair plugs that are priced at around a million dollars.
- He has only one good testicle. He tore the other one in a sex swing accident in an Illuminati Booze Cruise (according to Rand.)
- He has SNL audition tapes. (according to Rand.)
- He is on multiple E.D. pills (according to Rand.)
- Though Rand and J.R. are at odds, they know a lot about each other.
