— Brett and Reagan about Atlantis |
Atlantis is a giant island in the southern Atlantic Ocean that can be spotted from space. It is the home of the Atlanteans, Cthulhu, and other entities.
History[]
It is unknown exactly for how many years Atlantis has existed, but it appears to be very ancient. They seem to be at war with the land-dweller civilizations, as seen when, in 1912, they sent an invasion fleet ship. The Shadow Board, seeing through their act, sank the RMS Titanic in the Arctic Ocean, stopping the invasion.
Eventually, the Atlanteans appeared to make a truce with the secret organizations that ruled the world, apparently coming under the control of the Shadow Board. They participate in the Bohemian Grove festival every year alongside the land dwellers. When NASA started taking pictures of Earth from space, Cognito Inc. had to remove the island from the images to avoid suspicion from human populations.
Atlanteans[]

The Atlanteans are a species of intelligent marine humanoids that lives in Atlantis. They have light blue skin, pink eyes and no noses; their complexion is scaly and contains some gills. They wear long white robes with golden ornaments in shoulders and waists.
They have a unique language, that sounds like someone is talking or breathing under water. The Atlanteans can be classified as amphibian, as they can breathe under water and outside of it.
Trivia[]
- It is based off of the mythological Island of Atlantis.
- In the episode "Buzzkill", J.R. said that the company spent lots of money just to edit out Atlantis from the Earth, as it is too big.
- In the opening intro to Inside Job, one of the scenes shows a perspective from a drone as a bomb detonates in the ocean. According to text, the operation, codenamed "Bomb Fishing", had the purpose of destroying a small island belonging to Atlantis. Whether this is canon to the show is unknown.
- The true extent of their relationship with the Shadow Board is unknown. At first, it seems they are at war with the land-dwellers, such as seen in the opening sequence where Atlantis is nuked (presumably by the orders of the Robes) and, in "Appleton", the Robes said that sank the Titanic because it was an Atlantean invasion fleet. However, in the episode "How Reagan Got Her Grove Back", the Atlanteans are one of the six secret societies invited to the Bohemian Grove, implying that they are also subordinated to the Robes.
